CoSADIE* Data Centre Forum 2013

Like most other sciences, in Astronomy we face an ever-growing amount of data of all kinds -- images, spectra, multidimensional observations, simulation results.  To efficiently access and disseminate that data, over the last decade Virtual Observatory (VO) has been developed. Today, we have a set of standards and tools to interactively work with astronomical data.

CoSADIE*  is part of the international Virtual Observatory effort to maintain a comprehensive infrastructure for finding, querying, and accessing astronomical data.

The CoSADIE* Data Center Forum 2013 aims at helping providers of astronomical data to take up the latest VO standards.  Another goal is to bring together the operators of data centers with the VO software developers in an attempt to more closely align the needs of the data providers with the technology developers, with a particular focus on large physical infrastructures like ALMA and LOFAR and large surveys like UKIDSS.
